Despina Priala has practised in property and commercial law on the Gold Coast for over 25 years and has extensive experience in this area having been appointed the legal counsel for prominent Gold Coast property developer, Sunland Group from 2004 to 2006. At this time Sunland was in a period of rapid growth with its extensions into the Middle East being established, which included the second Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai, as well as undertaking marquee developments such as Q1.
Despina was substantially involved with, and supervised the settlement of Q1 - The World’s Tallest Residential Tower, Palazzo Versace, as well as many other noteworthy projects.
Despina holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Bond University. She is an Inaugural Law Graduate of Bond University from the Class of 1989 and maintains ties with the Alumni Bond University Association. Despina is also an original Alumni Graduate from Somerset College, the Class of 1987, a very prestigious and reputable school on the Gold Coast.
Despina was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1994 and is also admitted to the High Court of Australia. In 2021 Despina was recognised as reaching the milestone achievement of 25 years of membership with the QLD Law Society. Reaching a quarter of a century in a professional career is, by any measure, a considerable and notable achievement. In recognition of her dedication and loyalty to the profession and the Society, in 2021 Despina was presented with a 25-year pin at a recent QLS celebration event.
In 2022, Despina was given the honorary role of becoming a member of the Qld Law Society's Property and Development Law Committee. Despina sees this as an opportunity to contribute her years of knowledge and experience in property and development to this committee and to provide recommendations and comments on law reform that will undoubtedly have an impact on the property and development market in Qld, including the Gold Coast. This position of committee member is an honorary role.
Roly Priala
07 5529 1294Roly joined the firm during our growth phase in 2021, as our Business Development Manager. He’s had a successful career in residential and commercial construction materials over the last 20 years, with experience as a BDM and General Manager of steel framing companies, where he dealt with national level developers and building subcontracts including high-value Tier 1 projects carried out by the likes of Watpac, Hutchinson Builders and the Sunland Group. Roly is personable and highly intuitive with a passion for providing customers with a high level of value and service.
His skill sets include previous tertiary studies in Biomedical Science and a multilingual ability - he is fluent in English, Romanian and Italian, and conversational in Spanish, Serbo/Croatian and French.
Roly is currently studying for a Bachelor of Laws full time whilst contributing to the firm’s success.
Sarah Williams
07 5529 1294Sarah is our senior conveyancing paralegal. Sarah has been in the legal industry for 20 years predominantly in the area of property, projects and conveyancing. Sarah brings to the firm a wealth of knowledge and experience not only for conveyancing matters, but also in off the plan projects and developments, having worked on previously notable projects on the Gold Coast for the Howard Group and other developers.
Sarah has a unique caring and friendly disposition that client’s love and she is constantly receiving praises from our clients. Sarah prides herself on having a very high work ethic which clients receive the benefit of every day of the week. Her skill set includes putting fires out and making clients feel at ease, with the pressure being lifted and matters being resolved in no time.
Sarah is a respected and valued employee of the firm.
Natasha Brunt
07 5529 1294Natasha, or as she likes to be called ‘Tarsh’, joined us in 2020 and comes from a legal background of being involved in off the plan projects, leasing and business acquisitions and sales, having previously worked at large firms such as Hickey Lawyers and other notable Gold Coast law firms. Tarsh has been in the legal industry for the better part of 20 years and brings to the firm her invaluable experience and knowledge to our commercial and projects division.
Tarsh is currently studying her Bachelor of Laws full time whilst working 4 days per week with us. She is extremely dedicated and motivated not just to Priala Legal and our clients, but also to her commitment to her studies, which can only be seen as a credit to her and her skills and abilities.
Tarsh always maintains an extremely pleasant demeanour and clients enjoy dealing with her on their matters.

Alex Priala
07 5529 1294Alex joined the firm in 2022 as a law clerk and office junior. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws full time and his employment with Priala Legal compliments his studies. Alex aims to complete his law degree by 2024. Alex is a conscientious hard working law clerk and is always striving to learn and grow. Alex has a high level of mathematical and technological skills and abilities that only enhances his role with us.
Alex has very quickly become a valuable asset to the firm.
